I bought this costume for my average-sized 6 year old daughter and it fit perfectly. The costume is adorable and glitzy. The hat was a funny shape and didn't quite fit though we didn't mind because we bought a bandanna with dreadlocks to match. It was easy to add a few accessories to make my daughter look like a really fancy pirate... but at a really low cost.
